Pinch & Crush Exposure
Hands positioned around load corners or landing areas may become trapped if a suspended load moves during final positioning.
A heavy-duty hands-free push pull tool engineered to guide, position and stabilise suspended loads, drill pipes, tubulars and slung industrial equipment while reducing the need for direct hand-to-load contact.
PSC LoadGuider® is an industrial push pull tool designed to help operators push, pull, guide and stabilise suspended loads without placing their hands directly on the load.
During final positioning, workers may otherwise be exposed to load corners, pinch points, rigging frames and the potential swing path of the suspended load. LoadGuider® creates a controlled working interface between the operator and the load.
The tool combines a fiberglass body with a durable nylon engagement head, ergonomic non-slip D-handle and integrated hand guard. Its high- visibility lime-green finish helps the tool remain visually identifiable in demanding industrial environments.
LoadGuider® has a tested push rating of 300 kg and a tested pull rating of 150 kg. Five standard lengths allow users to select the reach and working distance suited to the load and operating area.
A push pull safety tool changes where the worker applies control by putting a purpose-built tool between the operator and the suspended load.
Hands positioned around load corners or landing areas may become trapped if a suspended load moves during final positioning.
Direct hand contact around rigging hardware, frames and structural members can place workers close to potential load movement.
Workers positioned close to a moving suspended load during descent and placement can be exposed to impact and crush hazards.
Push and pull forces can be transferred through LoadGuider® rather than through direct hand contact with the suspended load.
Designed to engage suitable load corners, rigging frames, structural profiles, drill pipes and taglines during controlled push and pull operations.
The fiberglass shaft provides rigidity for controlled industrial positioning while remaining suitable for extended use.
Provides a secure grip during push and pull manoeuvres, including use with industrial gloves in demanding conditions.
Helps prevent the operator's hand from sliding toward the engagement area during forceful push or pull operations.
High-contrast shaft colour supports visual identification on decks and in busy industrial work areas.
Intended for offshore, onshore, heavy industrial and drilling environments, with resistance to corrosion, drilling fluids and wash-down.
Select the LoadGuider® length according to lift height, load dimensions, deck geometry, available operating space and required working distance.
Use LoadGuider® during suitable final positioning tasks to guide and stabilise suspended industrial loads while maintaining separation between the operator and the load.
LoadGuider® can assist with controlled positioning of drill pipes, tubulars and related equipment where direct manual guidance would place workers close to pinch and crush areas.
The engagement head can assist with hooking, retrieving or redirecting suitable taglines while helping the operator maintain distance from the suspended load.
LoadGuider® provides a purpose-built physical interface for suitable positioning tasks instead of requiring workers to apply control directly with their hands.
| Control Factor | PSC LoadGuider® | Direct Hand Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Hand-to-load contact | Tool provides the contact point during suitable push, pull and guidance tasks. | Worker directly touches the load. |
| Working distance | Determined by selected tool length and operating position. | Worker must remain close enough to physically reach the load. |
| Push control | Applied through the tool. | Applied directly by hand or body. |
| Pull guidance | Applied through the tool. | Requires direct load contact. |
| Primary purpose | Guiding, positioning and stabilising. | Manual physical load guidance. |

PSC LoadGuider® is a positioning and guidance aid. Proper lifting procedures, approved rigging practices and site controls remain necessary.
Use during suitable final descent and placement tasks rather than during crane hoist or long-travel movement.
Do not close the intended gap between the operator and the load while using the tool.
One LoadGuider® on each side of the load can provide coordinated two-sided guidance during suitable positioning tasks.
LoadGuider® can be used alongside approved taglines. It is not intended to replace them.
Match the length to lift height, load configuration, operating space and required working distance.
Use LoadGuider® for its intended push, pull, guidance and positioning functions.
PSC LoadGuider® is not rated for load bearing, lifting, prying or levering. It is intended for guiding and stabilising suspended loads.
